A brand new kind of bacteria "PseudoalteromonasAntarctica NF3" is isolated from the sediment
samples at the bottom of glacier nearby Inlet Admiralty Bay.
During cell growth, the bacteria secrete large am ount of expolymers : Antarcticine, composing
substances that consisting 76-86% of proteins and 8-14% of saccharide.
Beneficial effects on the skin :
Antarcticine : it can be easily spread onto the stratum corneum, preventing dryness and increasing moisture of the skin. Under extreme cold weather, it can also shield the skin from frostbite. Since it has an ability of effective protection at low temperature, it can protect the skin against extremely cold weather.
Antarcticine can also connect the stratum spinosum and the basal layer which helps the lipid filling and folding of fibroblasts.
Antarcticine can stimulate the growth of fibroblasts in human tissues.
